Calculator for Estimation of Quantity and Cost of Concrete and Steel in Reinforced Concrete Column.
This calculator is useful for calculation of Quantity of Concrete and Steel in a reinforced concrete column. For column, approximate typical range is 0.8% to 6% (Ref: IS456-2000). Practically 2% to 2.5% is taken as safe percentage of steel for column. Common practice for steel percentage is 2.5% for column. You have to collect market data according to your region for the cost of 1 kg of steel and 1 m3 of concrete. The density of steel is assumed as 7850 kg/m3. This calculator gives the volume of concrete and steel as well as the cost for RCC (reinforced cement concrete).
