This set of calculators is developed to provide a software tool for Analysis of Moving Loads for calculation of absolute maximum bending moment for a simply supported beam due to a series of moving loads. Four different calculators are presented here where the series of 2 loads, 3 loads, 4 loads and 5 loads are anlysed. This calculator uses standard formulae and adopt trial and error approch based on the following rule.

"The maximum B.M. under a moving load occurs when that load and centroid of the load system are equidistant from the beam center."

This calculator determines the centroid of the load system and determines the maximum bending moment under each moving load by placing the load as per the condition mentioned above. The maximum of these values is reported as the absolute maximum B.M. for the beam due to the series of loads. Please note that these calculators work when the distance between the first and last load is not more than the mid-span.

This calculator uses the concept of influence line diagram to calculate the values of bending moment.
