Profile of Distinguished Civil Engineer - Eiffel

Alexandre Gustave Eiffel (1832 - 1923) French Structural Engineer

He is famous for designing the Eiffel Tower (1887 - 1889 ). He also designed La Ruche in Paris, which is a three-storey circular structure that looks like a large beehive. His engineering firm Eiffel et Cie (by Chief engineer, Maurice Koechlin) was also involved in the design of internal Structure of Statue of Liberty. He built many steel bridges.
