Conjugate beam is an imaginary beam loaded with M/EI diagram of real beam but having different or near to opposite support conditions as of real beam. It is primarily used to find out the deflection of beam.

Conjugate beam is an imaginary related to the given beam such that the loading diagram of the conjugate beam is the (M/EI) diagram of the given beam. M = Bending moment, E = Modulus of elasticity, I = Moment of inertia.
